Words!! I made words!!

*cue choir of angels*

Hallelujah, I actually wrote tonight. I mean, more than three sentences kind of wrote. Yahoo!

Ever go through a period of time where even though you know rationally, in your mind, that you're fine and you're just a little temporarily stuck there's a voice in your heart screaming, "WHAT IF THIS IS IT?? WHAT IF THIS IS THE BEST YOU'LL EVER DO? GET STUCK HALFWAY THROUGH EVERY GODDAMN MANUSCRIPT YOU EVERY TRY TO WRITE!"

*ahem* Yeah, I was hearing a little bit of that voice lately. But I'm good now. *big grin* I needed to figure out the logistics of the next scene, which included figuring out exactly what touristy location in Managua I could have my MCs enjoy a romantic evening and then be set upon by a pack of pissed off rat-shifters. And then, of course, there were the logistics of the fight scene which, frankly, I suck at. But that's just peachy because this is the Rough! Draft! Which means I have another go (or three) to have my black belted husband help me make the fight scene cool.

So tonight I was able to sit down, shut of all the voices in my head and let the movie play. Just a little, but whatever. A little is better than the nothing I've been getting lately.

The key to this will be writing everyday, I'm sure of this. I busted through 30,000 words in November without any of these issues because I was actually -- gasp! -- d i s c i p l i n e d. Imagine that!

Well, I'm off to get a good night's sleep so I don't suck at the new job tomorrow. And then? Yep. More words!!!

Oh -- p.s. 54,908 / 120,000 I can't find a working word meter right now so this will have to do. The % complete hardly matters anyway since I keep changing the goal from 100K to 150K to 120K and back, depending on my mood.
