Contest and one of my favorite novellas EVAH!

I'm saving the contest pimpage for last, because I know what free-book-whores you all are. You'll be click-clicking away from my LJ before you read about the novella and we can't have that, can we?

SooOOOooo...

Marjorie M. Liu's fantastic urban fantasy series (look! Amazon!) begins with a novella which has, until now, only been available by purchasing the anthology Wild Thing. So exciting! You can now buy it as an ebook! Er...e-novella? Anyway, check out Marjorie's so-freaking-cute blog for a list of sites where you can purchase it. The novella, titled HUNTER KISS, has one of my favorite openings of all time (excerpt courtesy of her website):

My mother used to say that the tale of the world is drawn in blood, blood in flesh, veins forking into destiny like the branches of the tree from which the apple hung and the serpent danced, trading whispers for the corruption of innocents. Good and evil, knowledge and choice. And there, at the root of history, the world tumbled down.

History is legend. Legend is blood. And I am totally fucked.

Okay, okay! Here's the contest pimpage:

Mark Henry ([info]mdhenry) is offering a Zombie Stimulus Package. Or, rather, Amanda Feral is offering it. Amanda is the main character in Mark's hilariously snarky zombie series. If you haven't read HAPPY HOUR OF THE DAMNED, you're really missing out on a good time. But, I digress. With the Zombie Stimulus Package, Amanda's offering you a chance to win one of the following fantastic prizes:

Dinner and a Movie!
Gift Cards for Starbucks and Gas!
Books! Books! BOOKS!

What olympic feats must you perform to enter a contest of this magnitude, you ask? None!! Simply pre-order a copy of ROAD TRIP OF THE LIVING DEAD (which you were planning on reading anyway, right??) and send Amanda the receipt! Easy, peasy. Head to Mark's LJ for a clickable list of online retailers for pre-ordery goodness.

Just in case you need one more reason to click...yours truly makes an appearance in ROAD TRIP. Well, my name does, anyway. :)

So?? You know the drill. Go. Buy. Love.
