I'm writing a crime scene. I know nothing about crime scenes beyond five and a half seasons of CSI. This is very weird. I will obviously need to do a bunch of research and interview some people to get the details right for the final version, but right now I just want to write through the scene to get on with the book. But it's sooooooooooooooo hard to turn of the internal editor and JUST WRITE when every other line I'm questioning if I have any ties at all to reality.
I can't wait to get past this scene. The rest of the book has me on much more solid ground.
Here's the progress bar as of today:

Next week is going to be a little sketchy from a writing perspective. We leave for vacation on Friday and I have a lot to do before then. The good news is, I'm hoping to get a bunch of writing done on vacation. Hopefully enough to pull my head far enough into the story that when I return to normal, hectic life I'll be able to make better progress with the bits of time here and there I'm able to write.
Now I'm off to convince my husband that we should go satisfy my craving for chinese food. Yum.
