Quick progress update

I'm toying with a new net daily goal of 1,000 words a day. I think I can make it most of the time with some discipline. Tonight didn't happen to be one of those days, but I'm not going to kill myself over it. One day back from vacation. *shrugs* I hit just under 900 words before throwing in the towel and this scene is a little challenging. It's a dialogue-only scene that follows a huge block of action and is the first sort of getting-to-know-you scene between my two main characters. There are many different directions the scene could go and I don't have a really good feel for one of the characters yet. I'll probably end up re-writing it eventually, but I'd like to get at least a first draft of it done now rather than skip it.

Yes, skipping? Bad. Writing? Good.
