Eeking along

Just a quick update. I've been pretty under the weather this week, but still writing everyday. The word count progress has been slow (nothing worth updating the Zokutou over!), but in keeping with my new goal to redefine progress, I'm pleased. I've felt like complete ass but kept writing and I've also pushed my way through a challenging scene opener so that I'm at the easier (and more fun!) middle part. All good stuff. :) Hope you're all doing well out there in the webosphere.

Someone is hosting the first ever Urban Fantasy Awards -- head on over to Fangs, Fur & Fey to link to the nomination site and cast your vote for one of the following categories: Best overall UF novel, Best YA UF novel, Best adult UF novel and Best Paranormal Romance. There is no date range on the nominations, meaning the book could have been published yesterday or 100 years ago. That's making my nomination decision a little tough. I've already cast my vote for best YA, but only because I read so few. It was easier to narrow them down. Anyway, do head over there and vote -- you have until October 31st.

It's amazing how the first week of school manages to kick everyone in the butt...even if they don't go to school anymore. It's like our bodies have some built in response to it! I hope you feel better soon.

Well done for pushing through, despite feeing "like complete ass". *ugh* you poor thing. I know the feeling, too. It's been a week & a half since my fainting-thing, and now this weekend me and the ex (who I'm staying with) have both had a nasty stomach bug. *double ugh*

Hope you're feeling better soon. Take care.
