ZOMG Shiny and a Teensy Bit of Politics

First, pleaseohplease go look here. I've linked you to one of my favorite images of hers, but from there you can navigate the site and look at all her other gorgeous offerings. Amazing (and affordable!!) sculpture artist, Ellen June, who combines animals with fantasy elements (winged serpents, mecha weasels, feathered cephalopods, you really have to see them to fully appreciate her brillance) and completely amazing straight fantasy creatures (phoenixes, dragons, gryphons, etc.). I'm officially addicted and planning my first commission!

Second, a teensy bit of politics. This is a journal about my experiences as a writer and, occasionally, snippets of my crazy life. I will not ever allow it to become a political blog, because that's not it's purpose. Buuuuuuuuuuuut... An LJ friend posted a video on her blog of a political commentary piece done by Keith Olbermann on John McCain and the Republican Party's treatment of 9/11 and, I have to say, I think it's genius and I love his passion. So, I encourage you to view it here -- with the caveat that, like Rachel Caine (EEEEE!!!), I'm a "lefty left liberal bleeding-heart pinko commie Democrat". God, I love that woman.

Up for tomorrow: Actual Writing Related Content! Stay tuned...
