Sirius Black

I'd like you to meet Sirius:

That's Sirius and his rasta-santa.

Sirius belongs to my friend Julie. I always remember that he's one of those new popular designer mutts that's a cross between a poodle and something, but I never remember what the other breed is.

Me: Is Sirius a Labradoodle?

Every time I see or think or hear the word "Labradoodle" I picture this and nearly burst out laughing:




Every. time. I could listen to Dr. Cox say "labradoodle" a thousand times and never tire of it.

Juls: Pfft. NO. He's a Goldendoodle.
Me: O.o
Juls: I know. It's very confusing with the whole black thing. Maybe I should start calling him a Retrieverdoodle? That's technically accurate...
Sirius: *jumps up to say hello*
Me: *shrieks* Holy Jesus what the hell are those!?!?
Juls: Those are his eyelashes. They have to trim them when he goes to the vet.

People. You have never before seen such outrageous eye-appendages. I took about a thousand photos to try to illustrate but these were the best I could do:



See the blurry picture on the right? That's a super close up on Sirius's head. See that long, thin thing sticking out from the middle? THOSE ARE HIS EYELASHES. I measured them. They're like two inches long. It's mind boggling. I've never, ever, ever seen such long lashes on anything in my life.

Therefore, I have decided that he is neither a Goldendoodle or a Retrieverdoodle. He is an Eyelashdoodle.

Or, perhaps a growing-out-of-elbow-doodle?

This is Sirius asking to be let out. It's quite effective.
