Happy Earth Day, everyone! Please take a few minutes today to think about a way or two that you could change your lifestyle to benefit the earth. They don't have to be gigantic changes--small efforts go a long way.
Here are a couple of suggestions to get you started:
Envirosax! These earth-friendly reusable bags are AWESOME (I've talked them up numerous times before) and easy to carry around with you. Reduce paper and plastic waste by using them to carry your groceries.
Consider adding a vegetarian meal or two to your weekly regimen. Reducing the amount of meat we eat has great positive impacts on the environment. An easy way to do this (for all you die-hard meat eaters out there!) is to try substituting Quorn Naked Cutlets for your boneless, skinless chicken breast recipes. Quorn is readily available at many large grocery stores, including Stop & Shop and Shaws, in the frozen foods section of the Natural Foods area of the store.
Shave 5 minutes off your daily shower time.
Don't put your produce in their own separate plastic bags. (You're going to wash them anyway, right? And who cares if everything else gets a little wet! If you use Envirosax, the bags are water resistant and you can set one whole bag aside for my produce. Problem solved.)
How about you? What suggestions do you have? I'm always looking for new ways to make a difference in my life.
