2010 in Books

Continuing the year in review posts, here's a list of the books I read in 2010, along with the number of stars I gave them on Goodreads (1-5, 5 stars being the best - I consider a 3 or above to be a satisfying read). There's a big gap (like, January-June?) so it's likely I've missed some, but I'm only as good as my blog and Goodreads accounts (which I didn't join until June) when it comes to remembering what I've read in a year.

Bloodangel by Justine Musk - 5 (SO beautifully written)
A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray - 2 (just not my thing)
Inked anthology - Armor of Roses by Marjorie Liu - 3 (part of the Maxine Kiss series)
Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher - 4 (this is more like 4.5 stars - I really, really liked it)
Lament: The Faerie Queen's Deception by Maggie Stiefvater - 4
Captivate by Carrie Jones - 5 (LOVE this series)
On the Edge by Ilona Andrews - 5 (can't believe I waited so long!)
Shalador's Lady by Anne Bishop - 5 (a great follow up to The Shadow Queen, in the same vein as the early Dark Jewels books)
Magic Bleeds by Ilona Andrews - 4 (more like 4.5 stars, just not quite as perfect as Magic Strikes)
A Wild Light by Marjorie M. Liu - 5 (LOVE this series. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Such a great installment.)
Waking the Witch by Kelley Armstrong - 3 (more like 3.5 stars - a good, enjoyable read)
The Thief by Megan Whalen - 3 (Kaz swears I'll love the second one...)
Lover Revealed by J.R. Ward - 4 (It's possible books 2 & 3 in this series fell into the gap I'm missing - I think I read them this year. I loved them both, fwiw. I'm totally addicted to this series.)
Just Listen by Sarah Dessen - 4 (more like 4.5 - I really, really loved this book)
Lover Unbound by J.R. Ward - 3
Graceling by Kristin Cashore - 5 (loved!! I'm nervous to read FIRE, though... I want more of Katsa)
Lover Enshrined by J.R. Ward - 2
In the Dark of Dreams by Marjorie M. Liu - 5 (a beautiful, sensual romance)
When You Are Engulfed in Flames by David Sedaris - 3 (an unusual foray into not-fiction, funny)
If I Stay by Gayle Forman - 5 (omg I loved this book)
Bayou Moon by Ilona Andrews - 5 (I think I liked On the Edge slightly better but I really loved William)
Total Eclipse by Rachel Caine - 3 (the end of an era! the Weather Wardens series was one of my first favorite UF series)
Linger by Maggie Stiefvater - 2 (i found this to be a difficult read for personal reasons - the writing is beautiful and I think it's a well carried out sequel to Shiver)
The Iron King by Julie Kagawa - 3
Paranormalcy by Kiersten White - 3 (an interesting, unique take on the paranormal creatures we all love to read about)
Alpha by Rachel Vincent - 3 (ditto to the Rachel Caine comment above)
Will Grayson, Will Grayson - 11 (okay, 5, whatever, but this book is amazing!!)
Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare - I actually couldn't finish this book, though I can't say why. It's just not my thing.
Lover Avenged by J.R. Ward - 3
Outlander by Diana Gabaldon - 5 (Jamie! Claire! Jamie! Scotland! Jamie! *swoon*)

29 books in all (plus some unaccounted for, I'm certain - I've never gone a month without reading in my LIFE). Not bad!
