did i really just create a blog?...

i suppose i did since i am now blogging in it. that's just crazy.

well, here i am. i've created this blog because i have decided to write a book. i've seen several blogs detailing writer's experiences once they are already published or once they have publishing deals, but haven't seen any yet that really begin at the beginning so that's what i'm doing here.

and i do mean the beginning. i haven't written a word yet.

i have an idea. i think it's a good one, a publishable one. (damn i love making up words!) but who the hell knows. i'm learning very quickly how many talented writers remain unpublished for horrifyingly long periods of time.

shit. i'm terrified. and yet... strangely confident. and terrified.

not sure i can do this but dammit, i'm going to give it my best.
