Not a good writing week. There's a bunch of crap going on at work that has totally taken over my brain and knocked me right out of my bookworld. I also have to have some minor surgery on my finger and my leg on Wednesday, so I've been here, there and everywhere getting ready for that. And, of course, I've been stressing about the surgery, even though it's totally minor. I don't even have to go under general anesthesia. But it's still one more thing that my mind is spending time on instead of thinking about The Book.
This morning I typed up all the notes I've made so far on The Book. I thought it might help get me back into the world. It did, but not to the point where I'm generating new ideas and solving problems. I'm going to take a break for a while and hope to get back into it later. I'm not sure how long I'll be out of commission for typing and writing after my finger surgery, so I'm hoping to make some significant progress before Wednesday. Typing up my notes made me realize just how many holes in my plot I still need to fill in. But it also made me feel like what I do have so far is really good.

How did the surgery go? I think carpal tunnel is my worst fear right now. ;-)
