My availability for writing this week is shrinking down to almost zero. Minimal time last night, less than minimal time tonight and Thursday and Friday nights are shot. So I say again: Ugh. I have no progress worth posting from a word count perspective. I did some thinking about the story in a spare moment today and realized a few different things I need to layer in to tighten up the story, which is good.
Hopefully, I'll have something worthy to post about tomorrow night. *sigh*

Hi Renee,
You know, I understand where you're coming from here. You have no idea HOW long it took me to write the last 5K of my book. It was LONG! ;) We're talking weeks, thanks to all the things that happened in my life, along with a hefty bout of procrastination and doubt.
Anyway, I think I'm just trying to say, don't worry too much that you won't have a great deal of time over the next few days or so. Maybe you can just tell yourself that you'll write for 10 or 15 minutes each day, even if that's all you can manage. That way, you'll at least be opening your notebook (or the file, whatever).
I know I've just hit 50K, but there are major changes brewing with my story - changes that I think will have a MAJOR effect on my novel as a whole. I'll blog about it soon... :)
Don't forget that all the time you spend THINKING about your story counts towards the overall thing, too.
