On slicing and dicing

I've never done great amounts of shuffling around in my stories before. Honestly, the thought has terrified me. But thanks to my shiny! new! plot (i <3 you, plot!), I've been doing just that for the past several days. Slicing out entire sections from Chapter Three and dropping them into Chapter One. Carving out bits of scene from here and sewing them onto bits of scene over there.

It's actually kind of fun. :)

I have a very clear picture of the changes that need to be made and, more importantly, why they need to be made. There's no question in my mind that the story will be better for them, so I'm not afraid of the plug and play.

Oh, this book. It's taking me places I've never gone before...
