I pushed past Addie and Isaac and grasped the deadbolt. Pain seared my palm and I stumbled backwards, cradling it to my chest. The lock turned a bright, glowing red, then began to liquefy, dripping down the door.
“They’re here,” Addie whispered.
I get to write a fight scene today! I get to write a fight scene today! *prances around*
I suppose, more accurately, I get to re-write a fight scene today. Still fun, though. ;) I'm on a day-long revisions marathon, people. Let's see what I can get done...
